Congratulations to Matthew Shevlin who has been named the Northern Ireland Football Writers Association Player of the Month for October.

It was a standout month for the Coleraine forward, who scored four goals across the period, including his one hundredth for the club in the 2-2 draw with Linfield. His performances have been central to Coleraine’s positive run of form and underline his consistency at the top end of the pitch.

Shevlin added to his tally again at the weekend with a stoppage time equaliser away at Linfield, a goal that moved him into double figures for the season and continued his excellent start to the campaign.

A fully deserved award after an outstanding month.
