A successful international camp for Forum Sports client Tolli Smári Jónsson representing Iceland U19s in UEFA European Championship qualifying action.
Tolli featured for the Icelanders in Group B7 of the 2026/27 UEFA U19 Euro qualifying round, held in Georgia in early June. Iceland began with an important 1-1 draw against Montenegro before backing it up with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over hosts Georgia, a result that saw them finish top of the group and progress to the next stage of qualifying.
Iceland’s progression means the Under-19s move up into League A for the next round of qualifying, a significant step up in level of opposition and a huge marker of the group’s development. For Tolli personally, competing in European Championship qualifying football at this age is another important step in what has already been a breakout year, following his call-up to the senior HK Kópavogur side and his first involvements with the Icelandic U19 senior training set-up.
