The U19s head to Portugal at the end of this month for three friendly fixtures against the USA, Portugal and Morocco — a brilliant opportunity for the young HK Kópavogur midfielder to test himself in an international training environment and at a level of competition he has been steadily working towards.
It is the latest piece of recognition for Tolli in what has already been a breakout year. Composed on the ball, ball-progressive in midfield and consistently performing against older opposition at club level, this call-up is a clear marker of how highly he is rated inside the Icelandic federation.
