Zane Okoro marked a personal milestone on Bank Holiday Monday, netting his first EFL goal as Tranmere Rovers drew 2-2 with Newport County in League Two at Prenton Park.
The forward found the net during the contest, opening his account at English Football League level in his first season at Tranmere. Despite the goal, the two sides could not be separated, with Newport County claiming a share of the spoils.
Okoro joined Tranmere on a season-long loan from Lincoln City in the summer and has been working to establish himself in the Rovers’ squad. His first EFL goal is a notable moment in the development of the 19-year-old.
